Shane had found a post about a waterfall that was great for swimming about an hour out of the city. Now that it's getting hot, swimming after a hike is very appealing so we decided to go on Sunday. Between moving and QS training, I didn't have a lot of time to look into it so I mostly tagged along. Turns out it was a hike we had already done in the winter!

We did a shorter version of the trail and I somehow found it harder than I had in the winter. It was really cool to see the trail in a different season, and the viewpoints were really nice and lush.

After the hike we had a quick picnic and then we went to find the waterfall, since it wasn't directly on this trail. It ended up being a little bit of a hike to get to and a little disappointing. I really thought there would be more of a swimming area than there was. It was pretty and more powerful than I expected. Thankfully it wasn't too busy since it really was a small area.

The water was also absolutely freezing and it took a bit to get into it. Of course once we got in it was beautifully refreshing after the hot hike. I'm going to have to do some more research and find more hikes with swimming spots.
