Whether you're preparing for the trip of a lifetime, backpacking with friends, or just on a short vacation, read this budget breakdown to plan for your trip to Indonesia.

21 Days
(January 10-30)
4 Cities Stayed in
(Ubud, Nusa Penida, Flores, Kuta)
4 Cities Visited
(Tegalalang, Sanur, Labuan Bajo, Jimbaran)
183CAD per day
*Please note all costs are the total for two adults and one baby.
Transportation: 764CAD
This included larger transportation costs like flights into Bali, the ferries to and from Nusa Penida, and flights to and from Labuan Bajo. It also included hiring drivers for the day, taxis to and from the airports and even some parking fees for drivers.

Food & Drinks: 702CAD
Depending on where you are in Indonesia food prices can vary immensely. While in Ubud, there was a small restaurant beside our villa where we could get meals for 2CAD. However, if we walked out to the more touristy street, we'd expect to pay up to 10CAD for the same dishes. It's still extremely affordable by Canadian standards and we had some amazing food, a favourite of mine was red snapper, whether it be grilled or in a curry.
Accommodations: 639CAD
It's very easy to get luxury level accommodations very cheap in Indonesia. Almost everywhere we stayed had a pool, breakfast included and was in pristine condition.
Attractions & Activities: 1163CAD
Our most expensive activity was our 2-night, 3-day boat tour in Komodo National Park. This all inclusive once in a lifetime adventure cost us 690CAD, which is extremely reasonable when you think of all that was included.

Extras: 584CAD
This includes 241CAD on visas, shopping sprees in Bali markets, massages, and waterproof camera accessories.
Must See/Do:

Jatiluwih Rice Terraces (at sunrise!)
