Whether you're preparing for the trip of a lifetime, backpacking with friends, or just on a short vacation, read this budget breakdown to plan for your trip to India.

11 Days
(February 13-23)
3 Cities Stayed in
(Delhi, Agra, Jaipur)
233CAD per day
*Please note all costs are the total for two adults and one baby.
Transportation: 1257CAD
The highest cost for our transportation included our flights to and from Delhi. Once we arrived in India, transportation was extremely reasonable. Taking the train from Delhi to Agra and Agra to Jaipur then back to Delhi, and hiring drivers within these cities was only 255CAD.

Food & Drinks: 270CAD
It is very easy to get affordable and delicious food everywhere in India. Thanks to the high vegetarian rates here we had zero issues finding food everywhere we went.
Accommodations: 668CAD
I'm sure you can guess that like most other things I have mentioned that finding affordable places to stay is very easy. For your stay in Agra to see the Taj Mahal I would highly recommend The Orchid Retreat. The owner went out of his way to help us with everything we needed, his parents were also often in the common area and were always quick to check in see if we needed anything.
Attractions & Activities: 216CAD
Overall we found activities really affordable in India, as most things are. The most expensive activity for us was visiting the Taj Mahal, in part because we chose to hire a guide. We found this very worthwhile though, not only could we ask questions as we went, but we had someone to take family photos in this iconic place.

Extras: 243CAD
This includes visas for Kymani and I, souvenirs and of course clothes shopping. If you're looking to do some shopping, I highly recommend a visit to Jaipur - the pink city. Known for everything from exquisite jewels to custom fitted clothes, you won't be disappointed.
Must See/Do:
Taj Mahal
Amer Fort
Drink Chai Tea
Hawa Mahal
Eat Chana Masala
Baby Taj (Tomb of I'timād-ud-Daulah)
