Whether you're preparing for the trip of a lifetime, backpacking with friends, or just on a short vacation, read this budget breakdown to plan for your trip to Cambodia.

7 Days
(December 10 - 16)
2 Cities Stayed in
(Phnom Penh, Siem Reap)
199CAD per day
*Please note all costs are the total for two adults and one baby.
Transportation: 510CAD
The highest cost for our transportation included our flights to Pnhom Penh from Vietnam. Our inner country bus tickets, and hiring tuk tuk drivers were really affordable. A tuk tuk driver for the day was only about 50CAD (and then we tipped on top of that).

Food & Drinks: 279CAD
I feel that we splurged on food in Cambodia as there were so many delicious options everywhere we went. Thankfully, the costs of food are quite low here so even eating anything we want didn't amount to much financially.
Accommodations: 249CAD
We were easily able to find airbnb's to rent in central areas in both Phnom Penh and Siem Reap. Being able to walk to restaurants and a few attractions is a priority for us when we find a place.
Attractions & Activities: 354CAD
At first it's crazy to think we spent more on this than on food or hotels, but we were in Cambodia to see the temples. We also splurged to see the local circus one night which was close to 80CAD, but well worth it.

Extras: 20CAD
None of us needed visas to enter Cambodia so the only extra spending we had was on souvenirs! I got two pairs of pants at the night market in Siem Reap, while Shane and Kymani got matching shirts. The night markets are a great place to bargain, the more pieces you purchase, the better a price you'll get.
Must See/Do:
Killing Fields
Royal Palace of Cambodia
Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum
Angkor Wat at sunrise
Ta Phrom Temple
Landmine Museum
Phare Circus
This is so helpful for anyone wanting to travel there!
